BELIEF SYSTEMS
“Self-discovery is when man wakes up to the greatest truth, that his feelings are nothing but what he believes…and his experiences are nothing but what he feels.”
When we arrive at planet earth they start telling us stuff, then we start saying the same words…and with time one starts believing what they are saying depending on where one is born. But later in life, we realized that some of those things that we believed were not true or do not serve us.
We realized babies are not bought from hospital, there is no Santa, and God is not an old man with grey hair in the sky. We grew up with all the beliefs we inherited, but some of these beliefs are what block many from experiencing the life we all desire and deserve.
A child who is told over and over they are not good enough lacks self-esteem, and grows up believing they are not good enough. “Everyone believes in a certain way that was passed to them during their upbringing”. Even when it comes to religion, going against parents’ beliefs causes conflicts.
Unfortunately, most people do not know that these beliefs are what goes making them feel how they feel… And how each feel is what goes manifesting the very thing they experience as their outer reality. When you believe something whether it is positive or negative, true or false, you make it so. “Your subconscious mind goes taking everything you feel as what you want”, and goes manifesting for you a reality that matches the same feelings.
Most married couples fight off what they think about each other more than what they do to each other. For a woman who catches her husband cheating on her, it all starts with a thought. Something provokes a thought that her husband is cheating, and she starts looking for evidence. In between she starts believing it is true and because of this belief, her attitude towards her man changes… even if the guy is innocent. Her search turns from “searching for evidence to see if the husband is cheating”, to “searching for evidence to prove the husband is cheating”. Later she finds what she has been searching for and the husband’s reason for cheating becomes “you distanced yourself away from me”.
Have you ever wondered how black spots on our roads started? In Kenya we have certain places on highway roads that are known as black spots, because bad accidents keep happening at those places. What makes a particular place turn into a blood thirst spot until it is labelled a black spot?
One accident happens there, fear of that place makes it happen again… and happening again makes people believe that the place is a black spot. Believing it is a blackspot makes it so, and the energy of many people believing it is so makes it more powerful, and we see bad accidents happening at that particular place over and over. People believe black spots are demon possessed, and pastors go to pray for those demons to go away, but actually the so-called demons are the belief masses behold.
We even had a belief of August being as a dark month in Kenya. That belief energy caused Kenyans painful events in the month of august, the worst being the bomb that killed 212 and injured more than 5000 people in the capital city 8/7th /1998. Kenyans believed the month of august is cursed, but it is that belief that made it so, and opened Kenyans up to expect more calamities.
We have church prayers held at the beginning of August to plead God have mercy on us and spare us the bloodshed, but the solution can only come if people stop believing august is a dark month.
Some families believe that certain disease or calamity is hereditary and exists in their family, and that belief makes it so. They experience what they believe as a family one generation after the other.
“Our beliefs are the substance that goes transforming our words into feelings.” You say every word as you believe of it, you feel every word as you believe it… And you manifest your experience as you feel it. It is to our beliefs we should turn to, and make sure what we believe is only what we want to experience.
What situation is blocking you from living your life to the fullest? Is it health, lack, failure, unhappy marriage, loneliness, stagnant career or business? All these are just extensions of some beliefs that many behold.
Thinking and feeling “l am not healthy”, “I am broke”, “I am a failure”, “I am un-happy”, “I cannot find love”, “I cannot find a good job”, “my business keeps on failing”, “l cannot get good grades at school”, “People do not love me”, “other artists are better than me”, “money is the root of evil”, “I am shapeless”, “l am worthless”… All these, are the destruction thoughts which form the beliefs that block people from experiencing their desired states in life.
As much as it seems as if the feelings are caused by the outer circumstances that one is going through, it is the other way round… Outer circumstances are caused by the inner feelings that follow one’s belief system.
You cannot find anything you think you cannot find, you cannot have anything you think you cannot have, and you cannot be anyone you think you cannot be. You cannot be that you want or wish to be, “You are what you feel you are.” Therefore, it is what you say to yourself that you should change…to give you the feelings you want to experience.
You can breakthrough any situation blocking you. It all starts with being aware how the mind works and understanding how your situation came to be, then deciding to fix it… through changing all the destruction beliefs to positive ones.
The truth is, there is no way one cannot manifest their reality… for if one is not manifesting what they want, then they are manifesting what they do not want…either way one is still manifesting. The law of mind is not something to be tried out and see if it is working…but an energy to be discovered, and allow its power through letting it work through you.
Let go of non-beneficial thoughts and allow the reality that came with it to breakdown, as you plant new beneficial thoughts and allow the new beautiful reality that you desire to break through.
Your new life awaits but remember my dear mentee, “For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them” Aristotle
